A life remembered

Obituary

Eric Von Frohlich passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was 60.

Born in Springfield, Eric spent his life building things — homes as a carpenter for more than forty years, and a family and community that will carry his warmth for generations. He coached Little League for two decades, never missed a Sunday breakfast at the diner on Main, and could fix just about anything with a roll of tape and a bit of patience.

He is survived by his children, Emily and Michael, his grandchildren, his brother Thomas, and a wide circle of friends who knew him as the first to show up and the last to leave. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret.

A tribute from his children

To our Dad

Dad, you taught us that a good day starts early and ends with the people you love. You showed us how to work hard, laugh often, and always leave a place better than we found it.

You were at every game, every recital, every late-night phone call. Even now, we hear your voice in the quiet moments, reminding us to slow down and be kind.

Thank you for everything. We love you, and we will miss you every single day.
